Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, fondly called Megastar, by his fans was honoured by The Guinness World Records. They awarded him the Most Prolific Film Star in Indian Cinema. Aamir Khan and a member of the Guinness Records team handed over the award to Chiranjeevi on September 22, which incidentally marks the day he made his debut in cinema in 1978.
The Waltair Veerayya actor set a record for his dance performances with over 537 songs and 24,000 dance moves in 46 years. No other actor in and outside India has achieved this milestone. Reportedly, the Guinness team only included 143 films, while Chiranjeevi has acted in over 150 films.
His daughter-in-law and Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, shared pictures from the event and congratulated him.

Speaking about Chiranjeevi’s dancing, Aamir Khan said, “If you watch any of his songs, his heart is completely in it. He enjoys every move, and because of that, we can’t take our eyes off him. His joy is infectious, and we all feel it as we watch him.”
He further added, “Your journey has been filled with many milestones, and I’m certain there are more to come. We are always here to be entertained and inspired by you.”
SS Rajamouli was one among the first few celebrities to congratulate Chiranjeevi. His X post read, “Just read that he performed 24,000 dance moves in his career. What an incredible 46-year joueny! Congratulations to Chiranjeevi garu on achievening the Guinness World Record for being the most prolific star in Indian cinema (sic).”
His daughter, Sushmita Konidela, and extended family members including Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej and Panja Vaisshnav Tej attended the event. Along with family, Chiranjeevi’s fans congratulated him on this special honour.
On the work front, Megastar Chiranjeevi will be seen next in the Telugu film, Vishwambhara. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta, the film is slated to release in theatres on January 2025.
